Questions, answered

Short answers about first visits, booking, insurance, what to wear, and what to expect with Ghassan.

You do not need to know which therapy you need. Tell Ghassan what is going on. If your question is not here, call 613-850-0090 or send the form.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can request a visit directly. If you have a physician's note or imaging, bring it.

How do I book a session?

Schedule online through the Jane booking app . If you prefer, fill out the contact form and we will get in touch to book a time.

Which location should I choose?

Choose the one that is easiest for you. If you cannot travel to a clinic, choose a home visit.

What should I wear?

Wear shorts and a T-shirt or comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move. FST is table-based and you remain clothed.

Does treatment hurt?

Treatment should stay within a range you can tolerate. Some techniques can feel intense. You can always ask Ghassan to ease off. Temporary soreness the next day can happen.

How is osteopathy different from massage or chiropractic care?

Massage primarily focuses on soft tissue. Chiropractic care often emphasizes spinal and joint adjustment. Osteopathy assesses the broader mechanical system and may use joints, fascia, muscle energy, and other manual techniques. Ghassan may also add FST or Graston when they fit.

How is FST different from stretching at the gym?

FST is assisted stretching. A trained practitioner moves and stabilizes parts of your body while guiding you through ranges that may be difficult to reach on your own.

Is osteopathy covered by insurance?

Coverage depends on your extended-health plan. Ask your insurer whether osteopathic manual therapy and a DOMP receipt are covered.

How long is a visit?

Allow extra time for intake during a first visit. Visit length is confirmed when you book.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on the problem, how long it has been present, and what you are trying to get back to doing. Ghassan will assess you first and explain what he recommends rather than promising a fixed number of visits in advance.

Do you treat children or prenatal clients?

Yes. Ghassan works with people of all ages, from children to seniors. Mention a child’s age, or a pregnancy, on the form so he can prepare for the visit.

Is dry needling / acupuncture part of every session?

No. It is only considered when it may add something to the treatment approach and only with your consent.

What if I have osteoporosis, recent surgery, or an acute injury?

Tell Ghassan on the form. Some techniques may need to be modified or postponed. When appropriate, he may recommend checking with your physician first.

Can I gift a session or bring a family member?

Call or mention it on the booking form.
