Ghassan Al-Tabba, DOMP

A career built around movement

For more than 20 years, Ghassan Al-Tabba has worked with movement from different sides: as an athlete, coach, educator, and manual osteopath.

Today, he works with people of all ages dealing with pain, stiffness, injuries, and movement that just doesn’t feel right. His approach starts by understanding how the body moves as a whole, then choosing the treatment that fits the person in front of him.

Ghassan earned his Ph.D. in Physical Education and Sport in Ukraine in 1998. His background in sport and movement led him to continue studying manual therapy, rehabilitation, and different approaches to helping the body move better.

He is a Manual Osteopath (DOMP), certified Fascial Stretch Therapy provider, and Certified Graston Technique Specialist, with additional training across massage therapy, exercise therapy, acupuncture and dry needling, mobility, orthotics, and other hands-on techniques.

That range gives him options. A session isn’t built around a single technique or a standard routine. Ghassan looks at what is limiting your movement and uses the approaches that make sense for what he finds.

Patients come first. Sessions are unhurried, treatment is explained in plain language, and you don’t need to arrive knowing what kind of therapy you need.

From the pool to the treatment table

Long before working in a treatment room, Ghassan spent years understanding movement in the pool.

He played water polo professionally and later coached competitive teams in Syria and Ukraine. Years of training and coaching gave him a firsthand understanding of what happens when the body is pushed, injured, adapted, and asked to perform again.

That experience still shapes the way he works today, especially with swimming and water polo injuries involving the shoulders and spine.

But you don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from that perspective.

Whether someone wants to return to sport, move comfortably through a workday, keep up with their children, or stay active as they get older, the starting point is the same: understand how they move, what’s getting in the way, and what can help.

“I went to see Ghassan with one injury in mind, but his whole-body approach was thorough and showed he understands the connections. His variety of expertise really showed, and I look forward to continuing to work with him.”
